Camp Dates: July 28-August 12, 2024 (camp is 14 days in length with 2-3 days of on-site vyshkil/training)

Volunteer Application!

To apply for volunteering at Help Us Help Summer Camp 2024, please prepare the following documents:

  1. CV/Resume: Provide a comprehensive overview of your education, work experience, skills, and relevant volunteer experience.

  2. Headshot: Submit a clear headshot photo for camp materials.

  3. Valid Police Check (or equivalent): Ensure you have a recent police background check or any equivalent documentation.

  4. First Aid Training (A/B/C) or Additional Certifications: If applicable, include any certifications related to first aid training (such as First Aid Training A/B/C) or other relevant certifications that showcase your qualifications.

These documents are essential for us to evaluate your suitability for volunteering and ensure the safety and well-being of our campers. Thank you for your cooperation in providing these materials.

Summer Camp FAQ

  • Since the program takes place in Ukrainian and our campers are Ukrainian, we do require a basic level of understanding of Ukrainian from volunteers. Preference will be given to volunteers who understand and/or speak Ukrainian. This helps ensure effective communication and creates a more immersive experience for our campers.

  • The volunteer selection process involves several steps to ensure we have the right volunteers for our Summer Camp 2024:

    1. Application Review: The program coordinator will review each application thoroughly to assess qualifications, experience, and suitability for the role.

    2. Board Discussion: Qualified applications will be forwarded to the board for further discussion and consideration. The board will review each application carefully to make informed decisions.

    3. Interview (if applicable): Depending on the number of applicants and the board's decision, selected candidates may be contacted for an interview. This interview allows us to get to know you better and assess your fit for the volunteer position.

    4. Decision Notification: After the board discussion and any interviews, applicants will be notified of the decision regarding their volunteer application. Notifications regarding acceptance or non-acceptance will be sent out no later than May 15, 2024.

    We strive to create a transparent and fair selection process to ensure we have a dedicated team of volunteers who are committed to making a positive impact at Help Us Help Summer Camp 2024.

  • If you are selected as a volunteer for Help Us Help Summer Camp 2024, you will be contacted by the program coordinator with all the information you need for the next steps. This includes details about:

    1. Onboarding: Information about the onboarding process, including any paperwork or forms that need to be completed before you start volunteering.

    2. Training: Details about any training sessions or orientations that will be provided to prepare you for your role as a volunteer.

    3. Itinerary: A schedule or itinerary for the camp sessions, including dates, times, and specific activities you'll be involved in.

    4. Relevant Role Information: Any other relevant information regarding your volunteer role, responsibilities, and general camp information (packing lists, travel specifics, etc.)

    The program coordinator will ensure that you have everything you need to feel prepared and confident in your role as a volunteer at Help Us Help Summer Camp 2024.
